Bylaws and Resolutions Committee

The Bylaws and Resolutions Committee proposed amendments to definitions of member board staff and administrators and eligibility for service on the Nominating Committee and the Board of Directors. They forwarded the Mobility resolution with a recommendation of DO PASS. Delegates at the 2017 annual meeting adopted all proposals and the resolution with little to no opposition. Committee chair Brian Carnahan of Ohio and members Carla Moore of Louisiana, Kathy Outland of Oregon, Mark Scales of Nova Scotia, Yvonne Haynes of Virginia, and Joyce Bell of Maryland met by conference call to complete their work.

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee met at ASWB offices to discuss ASWB’s options for paying for the new headquarters, including loan options. The committee requested that staff research a potential policy for exam fee increases and investigate how other organizations like ASWB manage fee increases.
