Path to Licensure

The Path to Licensure program offers resources to social work educators designed to strengthen faculty and student knowledge of professional regulation, including an online laws and regulations database, an online group practice test to use as a teaching tool, and periodic newsletters. The program offers consultation at no charge to social work education programs to help them customize a plan for educating students about professional licensure and regulation.

Outreach highlights

  • At Brescia University, Phi Alpha students accessed an online presentation about how to get licensed and how to plan their study to take the exam.
  • Through the Middle Tennessee Collaborative of three participating schools, resource materials were offered to participants attending an in-person license preparation training.
  • The ASWB president presented on behalf of the Path to Licensure program at the National Kidney Foundation conference in Austin, Texas.
  • Staff represented the Path program at the NASW West Virginia conference, at the CSWE Annual Program Meeting, and at the BPD conference.
